Potton select Replica Rooflights
Replica Rooflights® from the Rooflight Company illuminate the atrium of
the new ‘Ruskin’ show home from Potton Ltd. The recently revamped range
of low-profile steel skylights now include an even wider variety of features
to meet the needs of homeowners, housebuilders and developers.
Offering a combination of quality and
value for money, the Replica Rooflight®
range from specialist manufacturer the
Rooflight Company has recently been
revamped to include an even wider
variety of features to meet the needs of
homeowners, housebuilders and
developers. Accurate steel reproductions of
Victorian skylights with ultra-low profiles,
the range meets modern standards of
insulation, weather tightness and safety, and is equally suited to
either traditional or contemporary applications. This dual appeal
has led to the rooflights being incorporated into the design of the ‘Ruskin’ show home from the new Renaissance self-build collection
by Potton Ltd, creating a brighter, airier feel to the interior.
Selected for their authentic yet minimalist appearance, nine
Replica Rooflights® measuring 615mm x 1045mm were specified
for the project. Potton’s Sales and Marketing Director Joe Martoccia
explains: “This collection of properties was influenced by the
Victorian Arts and Crafts movement, and has been designed to
replicate the quality, beauty and craftsmanship of the era. The
exterior of the show home presents a traditional appearance but
the interior features a contemporary, minimalist design, so the
fine lines, slim profile and unobtrusive internal aspect of the
Replica Rooflight® were the perfect choice inside and out.”
Available in 2 or 3-pane combinations with optional glazing bar, unlimited runs of rooflights can be achieved by means of a linking T bar. The products’ high-quality, energy-efficient designs also have practical additional features such as Activ™ self-cleaning glass, and can be top-hung with optional gas struts for unobstructed views and an easy means of escape. For rooflights positioned out of reach, a pole option offers a useful solution to cleaning. Ultra low profiles and fine lines create a low-key/reduced visual impact, helping to avoid planning issues with local councils, while designers have the opportunity to create their own interior finish.
