When it comes to selecting and installing rooflights, the ideal solution is easy to fit, maintenance-free, high quality AND value for money. But the ‘one size fits all’ approach adopted by many manufacturers often means that design choices can be limited, and what might be suitable for a modern building may not sit so well in a period property. Then there’s planning restrictions and demanding new performance standards to meet… In light of this, specialist manufacturer the Rooflight Company has expanded its portfolio of products with the new range of Replica Rooflights®.
Helen Dearing, Marketing Co-ordinator for the Rooflight Company, explains: “Our whole ethos is based around meeting the customer’s needs, whether that be for new build projects or the refurbishment of period properties. By expanding the Replica Rooflight® range we can provide an even wider selection of products specifically designed to offer value for money without compromising on style or performance.”
Featuring an ultra low-profile and fine steel lines, these unobtrusive roof windows ensure planning officials are reassured about the visual impact created, greatly simplifying the planning process. Incorporating the company’s patented Thermoliner thermally decoupled lining, which ensures that no condensation problems occur, Replica Rooflights® combine modern specification with a traditional appearance. Designers are offered the opportunity to create their own interior finish, as they are not constrained by the finish of the internal frame. Created to offer quality at a competitive price, the range complements historic buildings and conservation projects as well as more contemporary constructions and is BS 6375 weathertightness tested, with BS 5713 approved glazing.
Helen continues: “With six sizes now available, Replica Rooflights® are presented in 2 and 3 pane combinations and most can also be supplied with gas struts as an extra means of escape. This has an aesthetic advantage as well as a practical benefit, as top-hung rooflights with gas struts offer unobstructed views without protruding into the room. To create a more dramatic impact, optional linking bars allow multiple rooflights to be installed to provide continuous runs of rooflighting. On top of this, the models come with a 10-year guarantee and customers can rest assured that dedicated technical support is always there at the end of the phone.”
